Since opening in May 1993, B&Q Leicester has been the city’s go-to home improvement and gardening retailer. Located next to historic Abbey Park, the store is easily accessible from the city centre and several major roads. In store you’ll find hardware, furniture, light fixtures, landscaping and flooring products, a range of kitchens and bathrooms and more. What’s in the local area?

As one of the oldest cities in England, Leicester has numerous heritage sites. These include the Roman Jewry Wall, 14th century Guildhall and a grade II listed Cathedral. You’ll also find the remains of St Mary’s Abbey in the park next to B&Q. In the city centre, there are two shopping malls with a mix of retailers, and the National Space Centre is nearby. Meanwhile, Leicester’s best Indian restaurants and sari shops are found on the Golden Mile.

How do you find the store?

By car

B&Q Leicester is situated just off the northbound side of the A6/ St Margaret’s Way. This road connects to the larger A563 outer ring road to provide access to the store from multiple directions. It can also be reached via the B3527/ Abbey Park Lane from the city centre.

By bus

The no. 54 bus to Beaumont Leys runs every 15 minutes from the city centre. Catch it from Orchard Street bus stop (Stand BF) – a short walk from Haymarket station – and get off at Blackbird Road. Alternatively, the no. 26 bus stops at the other side of B&Q every hour. 

By train

The nearest train station is in the city centre and provides inter-city and regional services. From the station, it’s about a 15 minute walk to Haymarket, where you can catch the 54 bus.
