Electrical and electronic recycling (WEEE)
At B&Q, we want to see a world in which creating and using products wastes nothing. When you buy a new electrical or electronic item from B&Q, we'll ensure your old device is recycled responsibly. It's a simple, hassle-free way to reduce waste and contribute to a healthier environment. Anything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled or turned into something useful.
What to look out for
To help with your recycling habits, all new electrical products are marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol, which means they should not be disposed of with your household waste. We kindly ask that when you’re disposing of any electrical or electronic items that you do so correctly.
Your old electricals will be taken to a recycling plant for processing and separated into individual materials, so they can be turned into new, more useful things. Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling is regulated by the UK Government.
Refurbed by B&Q
We’ve been investing in growing our capability to recover and refurbish more products, and now we also offer refurbished products to buy online here.
