Adequately durable but looks good and works well
This is the fourth door closer like this I have bought. On my bathroom door they last about 5 years before they suffer internal collapse. They work well before they give up. The door is used at least 20 times a day, so let's say 6000+ openings and closings, Adequate in my book..

Worked for a whole 10 mins
Opened and closed the door a few times testing it, all looked great then there was a big clunk and it just stopped working. Rubbish

Poor quality and and internal workmanship
The construction itself feels and looks good but the spring would not turn, so I dismantled it and rebuilt it as the 2 springs internally were fitted incorrectly. Now works fine but I certainly will not purchase this again poor workmanship if you have to do this yourself

Do not waste your time and money!!
This product has a weak internal spring that does not close the door fully (which, after fitting, I decided I could live with). But what I couldn't put up with was the crunching noise from the internal spring when self closing....... But luckily for me I don't have to put up with that sound any more as it broke within 5 days of fitting!

Didn't close door fully
I bought this unit to close a bedroom door which did not have a latch, to stop cats pushing open the door and entering. The closer tension can be adjusted in 90° steps, using a spigot supplied. At 90° it only just closed the door, but with a gap between the door and the frame - at 180° it closed the door but the door wouldn't open further than half way before the tensioning spring became cramped. If you want to have your door shut fully and tightly I couldn't recommend this product. Also it said on the back of the product that there were instructions inside - there were NO instructions.
