Easy to use
I bought the top soil to lay some turf on and top up my flower beds around the fish pond.At the price they were per bag it made my choice very simple to get the deal of four bags.

Re-seeding part of my lawn
I had to dig a load of invasive stringy weeds out of my lawn which left it patchy and full of holes. I bought 4 bags of this along with Turf & Lawn seed fertiliser (3663602033448) and Sunny Lawn Seed (3663602947578). Upon opening, there were quite a few lumpy hard bits I couldn't break up, so discarded them. I mixed the soil with some fertiliser and spread it over the top of the existing grass, watered it and left it overnight. I spread the seed the following day and kept the area moist by using sprinkler daily. The only issue I had was a crust forming on the topsoil after watering. Using a hand fork I broke this up every couple of days. After 3 weeks I have lovely thick grass again.

Good quality
The soil felt fresh and moist. It was free of any stones or insects/bugs which was good. I used 8 packs to supplement a small portion on my garden where I was laying a new turf and it seems to have worked well as the turf is now well settled and established.

Super soil
I purchased this product to top up a small flower bed. The colour matched and blended well improving the growing performance of my B&Q bedding plants expodencialy.

Really good buy
I bought this to raise my flower beds, as I did not want any more stones!! This is great, its stoneless, nice soil, bags aren't too heavy and the pack opens relatively easy, if you get the pack the right way round :)

I would not buy this again.
I admit I did not also turfs to go with this top soil, however I though as it is recommended for turf it should be good for grass seed. This is not the case. There is absolutely no substance to this top soil and it dries like dust. There is nothing there for anything to establish anywhere near a good root system least of all grass seed. If you are looking for topsoil try looking somewhere else.
