Sensibly priced sliding door and looks really nice
Purchased 2 of the 772mm wide doors. Unfortunately one door had a damaged frame (looked like something fell on or against it), was offered replacement or 50% off. As the marks were hidden when closed I took the refund to avoid re-order and possible 2nd damaged door. The door is shrink wrapped in thick polythene but only the glass section has additional polystyrene strip down the sides but exposed above and below so any impact damage is not protected n these areas (this was the problem I had). Definately carefully chech the upper and lower side frames for damage on receipt. I found it hard to determine the frame height opening for fitting. The instructions mentioned a height 'H' but didnt show anywhere what this was. I determined it was about 2250mm, fortunately I added some packing pieces and was able to adjust these to get the best fit. The other issue I had was releasing the wheels. They come 'locked' in position. The small booklet states to 'unlock' you undo the adjusting screw. I found that you get to a point where it dosent turn anymore. What you have to do is keep turning hard even though the bracket twists, it eventually breaks a tab inside which releases the black plastic wheel assembly from its bracket. I did remove the wheel assembly (It slides out with a bit of persuasion) before realising this and one can clearly see a metal retaining tab to stop the wheel assembly from falling out in transit. The instructions refer to a diagram 1 and 2 but these could not be found. All in all the doors look really nice when fitted and seem robust enough for wardrobe doors, its just getting the frame height right is key. Some clearer instructions would really help.

Okay, but...
I bought two of these doors to fit a gap of 2250x1700. They look okay when installed but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. When removing the plastic packaging one side came totally away and the top guide wheels fell off. On closer inspection and when I was fitting it all back together it was clear to see that it was probably designed by Fred Karno’s apprentice! Shocking. The top guide wheels are actually, by design, jammed into the outside door trim and held in place by a small locating lug. Flimsy to say the least. I consider myself a competent DIYer and apart from the first door falling to bits when I removed the packaging, I installed them with little problem. However, if you are not that competent or are a beginner, then be warned, the installation instructions are next to useless. Why don’t B&Q do an instructional video? Also the doors are very heavy being made from 6mm chipboard, so you may need someone to help with the lifting. If you’re on a tight budget then as long as you know what you’re doing they are okay. In hindsight, I’d spend a bit more to get better quality.
