Trex deck boards

This stuff is the best! Looks amazing with the hidden fastening system. Yes the boards may be flexible and slightly warped but they're meant to be. I'd thoroughly recommend.

Strong but considerably warped.

I bought 4 packs of these and started sawing them to the size before I realised that every one of the 16 boards was warped lengthways. The only way to use them is to saw (they do saw easily) and just use the central portion! They seem very strong and rigid with a really good "hidden" fixing system which works really well on the unwarped section of each board. A short time afterwards I also had to get 4 further boards (packs were out of stock) to extend the decking and on Click and Collect, these individual boards were also all warped. Even worse, the B&Q picker had put out a board which was oil/rust stained and totally unusable. On asking for a replacement I was told no others were available and the staff member didn't know if there would be any in the future. I raised this with another staff member who said he had seen some boards left on a trolley somewhere in the Warrington store. I found these, five in total, and three of these were so badly marked that they too were unsuitable. I took a board with some light markings on it in exchange for the really badly stained one. They are sold with a 25 year guarantee and stain resistant. It remains to be seen as to their longevity but I would advise anyone considering composite decking to look elsewhere,

Very poor quality and way too bendy

This is not to the same standard at the Trex decking you can buy elsewhere- it is the budget version in terms of sturdiness and finish. I compared this with the closest Trex decking available from my local builders merchant - much less prone to bending. I have spent a large amount of money including fitting costs and now have problems with it bending under any weight including troughs or furniture. This is despite plenty of support underneath.

Quality decking!

High quality decking, very easy to cut and fit. End product looks great, very impressed and has a 25yr guarantee... More expensive than wooden decking but is a higher quality and specification with no fading, treatments and splits or splinters....

Disappointing product

Bought 20 separate boards rather than packs as I intended to fix with decking screws rather than clips. This is to cover an asphalt balcony using the boards as cross bearers with boards screwed to them as the decking. The ends of the .boards are not flat and it seems impossible to flatten them out.

Good looking and sturdy composite decking

Oredered three packs of Trex Chateau Grey decking and very happy with the product - sturdy, easy to cut and install, quality fittings and clear instructions. Only disappointment was that two of the cartons were damaged and split at the ends and one of the fixing sets was missing. Luckily, as I was only decking a relatively small area, I was able to complete with the fixings I had.

Great Contemprorary Board

How easy was this! Very easy to lay using the fastener system, the solid boards fill me with confidence it will last unlike the hollow product you see elsewhere. The first review is a little misleading you can create an edge by cutting along the groove giving you a bullnose edge (halving the thickness of the board), not easy but totally workable. All my fasteners were included in the packs so no problems

Decking great, picture is misleading

Ordered and on arrival was damaged and also the fittings shown in the picture don't come with the decking.. But strange as the decking is in store for £19 so I assumed that x4 boards for £84 would include the fittings as shown.
