Handrail
Matched what we had already but needed an extension to it, this was perfect

Reasonable, 3 pieces fused together, hence Fusion.
The product itself is okay but it's not a one piece length. Actually, it's two (or more) that are stitched together using finger joints. This is important to know because out of the 3 that were in stock, only one piece had the joint that was more or less invisible. I say more or less because if you look closely, you can see it. On the other two the manufacturer had joined a very light & very dark wood together, different grain too.. it was very bad. Also, the rail is two pieces top and bottom and it's faily obvious because you can see the join line and at one point the join has a slight gap. Another point to note, each end has 50mm deep holes in. One end is a single hole and on the other, two holes. These are left over from the manufacturing process so if you are thinking to have natural end finish (no caps) then you will have to cut off 50mm + 50mm but note also, end grain is not suitable for natural finish so you will need the end caps. If you use Burbridge end caps then also note, they cannot be screwed on, and you should drill a slightly oversize hole and bond with no nails or similar. For the ordering & collection process, B&Q had my item ready for collection, but they had selected a handrail that was broken in half, no joke! Luckily, they had two more in stock and even more lucky that one was acceptable (finger joint issue). Overall, cost was acceptable and local store had stock so I was happy to be able to buy in person rather than online and there are much more expensive solutions out there so I would say it's a fair product at a fair price, but not the quality I was expecting.

Good solid rail
Nice colour, solid rail. The only thing I would say is it come with holes drilled in each end which I didn’t realise. I wanted to keep the handrail plain but I will need to buy the handrail ends now to cover holes but not a huge problem

Great handrail
If you like oak and need a handrail, this is a good one. Nice and straight from the shop and pre-finished which is a massive bonus.

Oak Banister Rail
Overall I am pleased with this product. It looks and feels good, delivery was quick and the price reasonable. However, mine was nit made from one piece of wood - several, in fact at least four! The joins were incredibly well made, so are only visible on close inspection. The colours are very slightly different, though noticeable when you know they are there.

Oak handrail
I've just had this handrail fitted, it's a one piece. It's absolutely beautiful, I'm delighted with it, It doesn't need treated its pre- finished. It's a lovely medium oak, it matches my oak doors & flooring. Highly recommend. ☆☆☆☆☆

beware of the rip-off accessories, sold separately
When considering buying this very basic hand-rail make sure you factor in the cost of the fixing brackets which are sold separately and, also, the essential end caps which B&Q sell in only one colour (a tinny stainless steel) and in 3 designs, all ridiculously priced at 17-20 quid PER CAP (i.e. not per pair). That means you will need to add, roughly, 80 pounds to the cost of the rail, just to fix it to the wall. ALSO, make sure you can get it home if you buy the long (three metre) pole, 'cos B&Q will refuse to cut it in half for you, should you need them to do so (for example, if your staircase bends around a corner). They said they were not allowed to cut it on their saw for Health & Safety reasons! Ridiculous. It would only have taken them ten seconds, tops. How on earth are you supposed to take home a pole that length if you don't have a van or a lorry?!

POOR
We bought 2 Oak hand rails and 4 nickel end caps. One handrail measured 54.5mm at one end and 54.6mm at the other One handrail measured 53.4mm at one end and 53.6mm at the other. The 4 end caps internally measured 54.13m, 53.92mm, 54.12mm and 54.14mm. So, 2 end caps will fit one handrail and we will have to carefully sand off the ends of the other hand rail (without taking too much of the lacquer off) to allow the end caps to fit. This is not the way it should happen !

Disappointing
Bannister is made by three different bits of wood. Unfortunatley, none of them match in tone. Delivery is advised the moring on the day of delivery. Underwhelming, to say the least.
