Bananas are straighter.
I had this product selected and held in the click and collect. I have been a carpenter for over 38 years but on day one I was taught to look down the edge of a piece of timber for any cambers, twists or oddities. If there were, I would reject the timber or use it for far shorter pieces in unseen areas. Please teach the same selection process to the staff! Had to change it myself, from the multiples of good ones available to be fair, as I couldn’t trust anyone after my shock at the banana impression this handrail was doing!

Cheap quality
Bought 1 of these and one of the 3.6m lengths. The groove width is almost 5mm over size meaning the spindles are far too loose

Good solid hand rail
Good solid hand rail. Just what we needed for some extra steadying when going up and down stairs

Great and does what it’s designed to do
Really happy with this, was easy to install using supporting brackets going up my stairs. Simply trim one end, sand, attach and then finish with stain or paint. Bought this in person rather than ordering and glad I did, a few in the rack are badly twisted or damaged so glad I selected the one I wanted.

Handrail
Fitted new handrail and chrome spindles to the staircase and has transformed the whole room. Looks amazing

Perfect refurb
Purchased to replace 70's style bannister with Base rail and Stop Chamfer Traditional Pine Spindle's. Needs a bit of a rub down with sandpaper but made a vast improvement.
