Features and benefits

  • Our toughest most versatile paint
  • Great coverage in just one coat, saving you time and money
  • We recommend using a one coat roller for optimal application
  • For best results follow the instructions on the tin carefully, a second coat may be required if overpainting a darker colour with a lighter top coat
  • Scrubbable for removing marks and dirt
  • At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

Premium??

Premium paint? Certainly needs more than one coat even over a light paint surface. I bought it on a whim seeing it on sale amongst other so called stock clearance item’s Back I go to buy a well known Brand replacement. Buy cheap buy twice, false economy.

terrible paint - cr*p

I bought this product today - it's an absolute nightmare to work with ,. leaves patches - unable to spread evenly. I will certainly need to put a second coat on the wall. It's the worst paint I have ever purchased. I would have returned the paint to B&Q had I not been working so far from a shop Will never touch Valspar paint again.

Worst paint we've ever used.

My husband is using this paint right now and it is a nightmare, paint congeals and runs down the wall leaving it all patchy. Do not buy this rubbish. Seriously thinking of taking it back and demanding a refund.

Covers well

Have decorated my shop with this and love the colour

Nice colour

This colour was very good coverage... but it does have a hint of very light blue at times, specially in the light...but its a very nice light grey overall....

Needs more than one coat

Painting over a pale color pink, I found the first coat too thin and dripped off the brush. Tried a second coat which caused the first to peel away in places. Still unfinished but a third coat is definitely needed. Cost is adequate but quality is poor. I decorate a lot and will not use this again.

Lovely Colour

I bought this to re do a bedroom which was Magnolia and deep red (yes you read this right). Two walls were deep red and two Magnolia. I gave each wall a coat of white emulsion followed by two coats of this beautiful paint. It goes on like a dream. One tub was enough to do a whole double bedroom all four walls using a roller. The coverage is great and the finish lovely. I used a duck egg previously and this also provided a superb finish which is why I choose to use this brand again. The colour gives the room a sophisticated feel. I also used a grey cupboard paint to compliment the walls to save buying new furniture and this was also a hit.

Not one coat but great finish.

This definitely needed more than one coat. I bought one tub as the room is very small and the guides said I had more than enough..... I didn't. Had to buy a second so used one and half tubs on a small desk room. The overall finish is lovely tho. The walls look great!

Needs more than one coat

Bought this rather than the standard paint as it was one coat. Waste of time, it took 3 coats to get an even colour and I was only painting over white and magnolia!!!

LDEWAR - 3 / 5 - 30/12/2016

Definitely not one coat

This was the worst paint I've ever bought. It was lumpy and patchy, even covering a plain white wall. After scraping the whole wall of the lumpy congealed paint we put up two coats and ended up with a great finish. Lovely colour but nightmare to work with.
