Supplier with attitude
Although sold through B&Q these are actually supplied by a 3rd party. We had ours delivered last Friday (having taken a day off work to take delivery). It arrived without packaging or tape so as to make it impossible to know if all the relevant parts were there. A selection of wood strips accompanied this in a torn plastic bag and nor were any fittings supplied, screws, brackets etc. nor a checklist to confirm the constituent parts or instructions on how to erect it. Don't bother complaining though, they couldn't care less. A week later and still the manager is "on another call" but also refuses to return any calls. Nor are their "reception" staff allowed to give out manager's email addresses to formally complain. Would they offer to send the fixing pack via express courier at their expense? Nope. It'll be 2-5 working days......but it's "not on the system yet" to be dispatched so I'm not sure when that will be. Will they offer compensation for the weekend lost that I and a friend had put aside to erect this? It seems they're not in a position to do that. It therefore seems appropriate to rate their shoddy customer service attitude on B&Qs forum. Find another supplier. It's only made of 'dipped pine' anyway so probably won't last that long even if we do manage to get it erected.
