Flawed
I like the result but it was hard work to get there. They say you need 3 coats for 5 year protection. Well if you put another coat on after a day or so it shrinks back unless the surface is still absorbent. A bit like putting emulsion paint over fresh gloss - an oil/water reaction (though this is a water based paint). Light sanding can help (but of course you can sand too much very easily). I found the solution was to 'scrub' the paint on and or to go back in a few minutes. So got there in the end but strangely hard work. I do like the finish - nice satin effect. Too soon to say how well it well endure. I was working on bare wood but I see it says on the tin you need to take previously treated wood back to bare which sounds like very hard work.
