paint
good colour, reasonable gloss finish. but had to apply 6 coats to achieve full cover .

Not impressed
I sanded, prepped and cleaned with spirits a front door which was previously red. Ready to go with nice dry weather I applied first coat. Coverage not great and showing every brush stroke. Dried very quickly. Put on a second coat and it seems uneven patchy and shows brushstrokes. I am well used to gloss painting for years. I see the other reviews here and think I will have to buy a tin of oil based paint to finish it properly. Does not do what it says on the tin in this case I am afraid !

Not very Royal Looking
A shame because Ronseal are a good brand. The red is much brighter than I expected, more fire station red or letter box red than royal red. Touching up the following year out of the same tin the colours would not match so doors now look patchy. Despite the problems I did want to order more so I could finish my gutters to match the rest of the windows and doors but doesn't seem to be available. Poor show overall.

Not Gloss!
Looks terrible! Parts look like gloss and other parts don't, no matter how many coats you give it is always patchy, shows every brush stroke and the paint literally dries as you paint it on. Waste of money and time!

Would not recommend
Purchased for the Ronseal name, but not impressed. Bought to paint an external front door that was already red. Sanded prepped and applied 3 coates and still couldnt achieve a gloss finish. Finish is more matt than gloss.
