You can apply this decking stain from the Ronseal Perfect finish range to , using a perfect finish pad, to colour and provide protection. It takes 90 minutes to dry and will cover up to 6.4 m² per litre on average.

Did the job
I have arthritis so can’t kneel or bend in order to restain our decking. First attempt at putting the brush together was a failure as the instructions tell you to just push the pieces of pole together. Not so, slightly unscrew the white plastic bits (they won’t drop off) then push together and then tighten clockwise. Also make sure the ‘cuff’ is pushed down on the head of the thing. Once done all that, the brush was very stable. Took me minutes to do the decking. No problem with getting it into the grooves, just turn the brush sidewise and you’re away. dries very quickly on a warm day. One slight negative, Some may need instructions on how to get at the actual stain as it’s hidden below the container which holds the brush!

BUY THE TIN, NOT THE "PERFECT FINISH" TUB
This product is available as shown here, with the "perfect finish" applicator sponge, or as a tin, without the applicator - have just finished 1st coat, being a Ronseal wood product, I'd hope it will be decent quality, so the actual wood stain probably deserves a higher rating. The applicator is a flimsy heap of junk, doesn't get the stain into the grooves of the decking without applying some force, which in turn causes the adjustable head of the applicator to move about, requiring continual re-adjustment. Halfway through application, I removed the applicator head and applied the stain like a brush. After the first coat, I tossed the applicator in the bin, and will get a suitable brush for the 2nd coat. Don't waste money on this product, buy the tin and a brush.

Does what it says on the container
Good Product, easy to apply with a paint brush. The brush/mop that is supplied with the produce is rubbish it does not get into the grooves and catches on wood knots. The suppler needs to either supply a free 3inch brush instead of the one they supply or reduce the price by a few pounds.
