You can apply this decking stain from the Ronseal Perfect finish range to , using a perfect finish pad, to colour and provide protection. It takes 90 minutes to dry and will cover up to 6.4 m² per litre on average.

Great colour
A little tricky to figure out the pad/applicator thing, got there eventually, but the result is great! Easy to use in terms of getting the decking covered quickly, absolutely love the colour. Just what we wanted.

Does exactly what it says on the tin!!!
This went non really smoothly and gives a great finish. This is the 3rd year I've had this and wont be changing any time soon

Nice colour, not enough paint, rubbish paint pad!!
I bought this to stain my decking, thinking it would be easier than brushing it was but came at a cost. Pros: nice colour. Cons: Not enough paint to cover area as stated, paint went thick towards the bottom although stirred throughroughly before applying and stopped foaming, paint pad is very flimsy and did not brush paint in the groves of the decking for the last quarter of the pot of paint. Very unhappy as I now have to buy a second pot with brush to finish my decking. :@

Not worth it!
We brought about 3 of these last year to do out decking in hope it would last us years-as stated on the box. 1 year on and our decking looks worse then before we did it. Not happy at all! P.s the brushes/sponges that come with the product broke after little use, very poor quality.

doesn't do what it says on the tin!
The pad doesn't spread the stain evenly and there is lots of wastage when compared to using a brush. The area of coverage is nowhere near as much as the tin claims. We wasted over £90 on this product and were very unhappy with the result. We then decided to go over the decking with ronseal decking paint which does do what it says on the tin and gives a far better result at a more economical price. You have to use a brush but it is worth it.

just buy stain
bought this yesterday,it was either £29.99 for 2.5l tub or £34.99 for pack which consists of 2.5l stain and telescopic staining pad. we opted to buy the latter save time. DONT BOTHER telescopic handle doesnt even fit together properly andmore to the point the pad is USELESS. Does NOT apply evenly and doesnt even fit in deckingproperly every application with pad had to be evened out with brush. After this review and a brew myself and my wife are now having to finish painstakingly with brushes. On the up side the stain is very good love the colour,just beware save a fiver and just buy the stain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
