It's not black at all
It's called blackbird and you might suggest that didn't mean it's black as many colours have marketing names. However the sticker on the front absolutely is black and I expected the paint colour to match the sticker. It's actually a very dark grey, almost like the black on a backlit mobile phone screen. It's not a bad colour but next to real black it will look wrong

Definitely NOT black!
Wish I had read these reviews before purchase! Been after Cuprinol shades (Black Ash) since lockdown but can’t find anywhere. Delighted when I saw Ronseal Blackbird with a black sticker on the front and thought that will do the job!! Sadly this is not black but more a charcoal dark grey - nice but looks daft at the side of ‘real’ black!! Now have to carry on my search for Cuprinol to paint over today’s work. So frustrating!!

Came out grey/blue
Like others have said, this comes out grey and in the sun my fence now looks blue. I bought this to repaing a black fence and despite 3 (of a paint where the colour on tin is black and the name is blackbird) I now have to go find an actual black and redo a days work. Not impressed. 3 stars for coverage and ease of application.

Grey not black
Wanted black. Got grey. Annoying! Never seen a grey blackbird

Excellent product
Great colour I used it on a planter and them decided to do an outside door which was glossed white, with 3 coats it covered it perfectly so now I'm gonna paint the wood around the porch which is also glossed. Colour is great I love it

Fantastic colour
I bought Blackbird garden paint to cover a wooden garden bench & table. The colour is a very dark grey (almost black) and it looks lovely. I've now bought some more to paint my shed and raised beds. I'm really pleased with it.

It’s not Black!
Stirred thoroughly but dark grey all the way through. Now have to do the job all over again as needed a true black....which this isn’t despite the name.

Sticks well to multiple surfaces
Used it on wood and metal in the garden. Paint is quite thick and sticks well to both types of material. Quick drying and does seem to be waterproof very quickly. Only one issue. I assumed a paint with a colour called blackbird would be black but it isn't. This paint is dark grey, more anthracite than black. Looks ok but it def isn't black.

Does what it says on the tin
Used this paint yesterday and found it very easy to use and of high quality.
