Not black
Expected to buy a black paint, was actually a shade of grey.

Beautiful colour
This paint goes.on well and dries to a lovely blue black. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't feel misguided by the name as blackbirds are not jet black and they do have a bluish sheen. Colour is clearly represented on the tin.

A lovely anthracite grey
I bought this for painting a wooden plant stand to protect it from the weather. It goes on well but does indeed take three coats to look a uniform colour. The 750ml pot was enough to paint the plant stand and have about a quarter of a tin left over (there were a lot of small pieces of wood in the shelves!). takes four hours to dry between coats which is slightly annoying but not unexpected. I'd buy this again if we had more outdoor painting to do. As others have said it's not a true black, more a very dark grey but is a nice colour that does dry darker than the colour in the pot when you open it. The only thing I'd wish was better is if it took fewer coats to give good coverage, but it does state it on the tin so can't really complain!

Excellent Product
Bought just for roof trims on a log cabin. First coat looked as if it went going to cover well and the colour looked when out. However, after the suggested 3 coats it looks brilliant. Colour nice and even and looks very smart.

It is black
I wanted black and as this is not a Jet Black more of a Signal Black I was pleased with it because it didn't look so severe. Went on well on top of dark green/blue. Think I will give my fence another quick coat to finish it off.

Not what I expected
I bought this paint thinking it would be black but turned out to be a dark grey. I was disappointed as it was black I was really looking for. Decide to use it anyway. Good coverage & turned out a nice colour. I was happy with the results. Think they should change the name of the colour though as it’s misleading.

NOT BLACK
Seriously, from the picture on the tin and the name BLACKbird i expected Black. Why wouldn't I? Such a waste of money. Lovely shade of Grey though.
