- Soil moisture: Well drained
- Flowering period: June-October, Planting period: February-May
- When the foliage has died back, usually after the first frost, cut back stems to 5 cm above soil level. Not winter hardy. To over-winter, dig up the tubers and store them in a cool, dry and frost-free place. Replant at the same time next year. Lightly press each tuber hollow side up into multipurpose compost in pots or trays to start into growth. Plant out when danger of frost has passed.
