Does the job but buy 2 or 3 for each one you need
You can eventually get these to work but the metal threads that are in there are very poorly fitted into the plastic so on each box you will always get one that comes out and you end up having to remove the socket and replace one of the runners with the thread in it which of course involved buying another box or two to get the spares. Eventually when you get it set up sorted they actually hold very well.

Better than I thought BUT
I needed to replace a box when the screws failed to grip. I thought this would be good, it is better than the one I had but it is built to a price for the builder rather than a diy person. I would not buy again if I had the time to source elsewhere.

Pattress Box - Single
Yes they work quite well and will accommodate different plasterboard thicknesses but be aware the 3.5 mm screws that come with most sockets and switches will probably not be long enough!

Don't buy this unless....
.... it looks exactly like the picture in which case you might be lucky. The ones in store are different, and are very poor quality. I would have returned mine if I was not up against it. I had to run a re-threader tool through EVERY insert in 4 boxes before the screws would fit. The inserts are so far from the front that standard screws will not reach and there is no "ratchet" to enable you to pre-clamp it. So you fit longer screws which then bottom out on the case of the box so you have to take it all out again and drill clearance holes. The cable entry breakouts would only break on one side leaving sharp edges and the maximum wall thickness they can cope with is about 15mm. These are VERY different to the ones I have used previously. I know they were only £1.25 each but I would rather pay much more for something that actually worked!
