Very Disappointing Purchase
At the start of April I purchased 8 pots of Dwarf Narcissus and 16 pots of full size daffodils. None had open buds and I was expecting all to flower during April. Well the Dwardf Narcissus failed to flower or even produce buds at all, except for one pot which produced some lovely petite flowers. This was the major disappointment and obviously a complete waste of money. Of the 16 other pots all but 2 had buds and flowered to varying degrees and with 2 different heads. The bigger head produced very attactive daffodils, but unfortunately the head was too heavy for the stem. This resulted in either very droopy daffodils where the head was either on the groung or just off it and in most cases ended in broken stems. These flowered for about a week. The most successful of all the pots were the two tone flowers which were upright and looked good for 2 to 3 weeks. All are now past their best and very few have petals on. Overall a very disappointing purchase even at a 3 for 2 offer.
