Check yours has release the mechnism
I bought mine before Christmas 2021 and have just taken the tree down only to find mine has no red release mechanism. Not sure how I can now use it next year so not a great buy.

Excellent product.
There seems to be some confusion with the reviews of this product, but it works really well with our tree. The box clearly states that it fits trees with a trunk diameter of 8cm, which our 6ft tree has. The wire grip system performs brilliantly and holds the tree tight and upright. Nowhere on the instructions does it state that the stand holds 3.9 litres of water, that’s the stand that costs £36. We’ll worth the money.

Rubbish
This is rubbish. The opening for the tree is far too small for a 6 foot tree Avoid, Avoid Avoid.

How?!
Ours came without the red bit, which we didn't realise was needed until now... How on earth do you get it to release?! We've had to take our tree down early because we couldn't fit enough water in the stand either despite it claiming to hold lots, and now we're stuck with the bare centre trunk and no way to get it out of the stand!

Terrible product
Having read other reviews of this product I totally agree that the stand is not fit for purpose BandQ should remove from sale if the have any level of customer service.

Instructions are rubbish don’t know how to fill It
We bought this for our tree, it fitted well, but the main function is to keep it watered it’s supposed to be a 3.9 ltr water tank but we can’t seem to get more than 200ml in it, losing loads of needles and only had it 2 days, the instructions are to vague to understand

Unsuitable
This stand advertises itself as being suitable for trees up to 6ft but the hole to place the trunk is very small, about 8cm diameter. No chance of accommodating the 6ft tree we bought unless which has an average diameter of about 11cm (and it’s not a disproportionate thick trunk. It also says it’s suitable for keeping the tree watered but once you get the tree in, there will be barely room for half a cup of water. Have two stars as good concept on the retaining mechanism and may be ideal for a much smaller tree.

Tiny hole, supposed to fit a 2m tree?!
This only takes trees with a trunk diameter of 8cm which is tiny, despite being advertised for a tree up to 2cm

Very poor
Bought this product and taking it back, wouldn’t hold our tree straight at all. And water tank holds about 200-300mls of water before spilling over the sides, NOT the 3.9L as described. No water indicator at all as described on website. Very disappointed as now delaying putting up our tree until can return item and get a different stand.
