Great product, really enhances adhesion
I used this primer to seal my plaster, render, & plywood walls prior to tiling, and also to make the tile adhesive bond better. I'm using Mapei Ultimate Showerproof ready-mixed adhesive and although it doesn't specify any kind of primer in the instructions, I've found that it does work well with this product. The primer is a milky blue-green colour, and it's quickly absorbed by the plaster. It also dries quickly, within an hour or two. You need to be careful not to splash it on any surface you don't want it to go on (such as your bathtub or tiles), as it dries quickly & it's surprisingly hard to clean off! I found that one generous coat was enough, and in fact the instructions warn against multiple coats, as this can cause the product to de-laminate & come away from the wall. As far as I can tell, this product should work with most tile adhesives, and probably paint and wallpaper too. But it's always a good idea to experiment on a small inconspicuous area first to make sure it's working as it should.
