The worst product I have EVER purchased
The fact that the cordless hedge and grass shearer ever left the factory and made it on to a shelf in an actual shop will prevent me from buying a Macalister product ever again. It is so very bad. All I have been able to get it to do is make grass wave gently back and forth. Good for a laugh... Nothing more.

Useless
I bought this 2 weeks ago and tried to use if for the first time yesterday. Off a full charge it ran for 60 seconds. Charged it up again assuming I’d done something wrong previously, and today it managed about the same sort of time. It also looks like it wouldn’t handle hardly any amount of material. I’m now desperately looking for the receipt to get my £28 back!

This product is an absolute joke! It stops dead when you try to cut 3 leaves at a time! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! sadly I can't return as I purchased too long ago and I only just got to use it today!

Useless
Bought to trim grass that grows up between the paving slabs. It cuts absolutely nothing, just mushes it up between the blades and then blocks up and stops. Also the covers that go in the middle of the wheels pop off the minute you put it on the ground. Total waste of money and taking it straight back to the store.

produit inefficace
j'ai acheté ce produit il y a 3 ans . Au bout d'un an et demi la batterie a laché. Etant sous garantie, il a été échangé et maintenant c'est le chargeur qui est défectueux.J'essai de trouver un chargeur ?????. Le produit n'est pas très efficace pour couper l'herbe,

A éviter
Je possède cet article depuis environ 6 semaines vu la sécheresse il n'a pas servi beaucoup par contre je lui fais prendre l'air en le promenant le long de mes bordures il courbe l herbe mais ne la coupe pas je me suis demandé si j'avais mal compris les instructions et j'ai mis l outil de taille haie il fait la même chose donc malgré mon âge canonique je me mets à genoux et coupe mes bordures aux ciseaux

Perfect for light use
I bought this 2 months ago and use it almost every day tor tiding up lawn edges and around slabs and removing stray shoots in hedging Yew, Box and Bay to improve my efforts at topiary, doesn't compensate for lack of artistic talent. keep it charged and with you when walking the garden. I understood it's limitations (refer other reviews) when I bought it and for me it does the job.

Pathetic performance
This was bought as a cordless garden shear in place of standard manual garden shears to cut grass. Unfortunately that is something that it could not do as it just tore at the grass which then jammed in the blades. Used only once and then taken back to B&Q for a refund.Would not recommend. I had been doubtful about buying a Mac Allister product and wish my doubts had prevented me from buying this item. I will probably go for the slightly more expensive Bosch alternative when I can find one in stock.

Really bad. Doesn't cut grass but snags it and hedge trimmer only cuts leaves not twigs.
