No chuck
I bought this product in March 2019 from B&Q, Without checking brought it to Pakistan, charged the battery to do some work and no chuck found really disappointed.

Get what you pay for
I just wanted a cheap drill, having just bought this 5hrs ago Ive used it 4 times and its very good. HOWEVER the battery charger is flashing red ( temp too high) and no signs of charging. If it persists It will be going back tomorrow. Shame as a dril its ok for minor DIY jobs around the home.

A simple everyday drill
Does exactly what I expected it to do. However never having bought a drill before I didn't realise the drill bits had to be bought separately. Also, in order to release the chuck for the first time, the drill needs to be started. Nowhere in the instructions was this mentioned. I had to return twice to the store where the staff were brilliant but journeys which could have been prevented.

Mac Allister Cordless Combi Drill one Battery
Mac-Allister Cordless 14.4V 1.3Ah li-ion-Combi-Drill-1-Battery Once the battery is Charged it Last for a very long time. Very light to handle it will drive 5 inch screws with ease. Fantastic Combi-Drill

Drill
Good bit of equipment. The reason I purchased this is because you couldn't supply me with a new battery or charger for the other same drill. BnQ should be able to supply spare parts. Not good business nor service.

Perfect
Having moved to a new place, adjustments were needed,my old cordless was buried n given its last rights,so going to b&q,I acquired a new cordless, not an expensive one but still a good one,it's perfect for what I needed it for and saved a lot of hand screwing..ty.

Cheap and poor
This may be the worst power tool I ever bought, and I wasn't expecting a lot since it is inexpensive. It has four problems, two major, two minor. The first is that the chuck often fails to grip bits, even hex ones. This happens on any setting: drill, hammer or screwdriver. The second is that the torque setting ring tends to jam, requiring you to force it backwards and forwards until it unjams. The third, minor one, is that the LED light is poorly located so it the light from it is occluded by the chuck. Brilliant design! The fourth, minor, one is that the tool is poorly balanced. The chuck end of it is significantly heavier than the back, so when it is standing on the battery, a small touch causes it to fall onto the bit. Overall then, a major pain to work with. Buy a better one, even if it costs more.

Great drill
I have just bought this drill about 2-3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it, so I went back and got its brother (lol) and that's just as good :)

No to Macallister
This 18 volt & 24 volt drill lasted no more than 24 hours of actual use. Must be the most expensive drill in the world.

Brilliant drill with great battery life
I bought this a year ago when I had a team of tradesmen in the house, all of whom had these drills and swore by them. Their boss told me he had to replace better known brands every 3-4 months but these last and he only has to replace them when his guys 'lose' them!! Previously, I had struggled with corded drills for years but this has changed my mind completely - I charged it overnight and it lasted through 4 large jobs and then charged it for just a couple of hours and I now only give it a recharge blast every time I get it out but it does seem to hold its charge regardless. It is a little heavy due to the large battery pack, and the bit can work loose but it's a small price to pay. The bit is extremely easy to use and no key or other device is needed to tighten it. I have since bought Mac Allister cordless strimmers and hedge trimmer all of which work superbly well for about half the price of others. IGNORE the negative reviews - they must have faulty drills and if so B&Q would gladly change it for them - look after your receipts!!! I've had no problems and bought my son one which is also perfect and he does a lot more DIY than I do. Don't hesitate - at this price you could buy 2 of these for the price of some makes and then you would have 2 batteries as well. But you only need one.
