Chlorophytum are endlessly popular houseplants and from one, comes many! They produce baby plants on their tips which can be planted up to make new plants! They have lovely variegated leaves and so are great for brightening up a room
- Plant temperature - Happiest in rooms with temperatures 15º or higher.
- Watering instructions - Keep my compost moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in the winter months.
- Instructions for care - Keep compost moist but not soggy. Do not allow to sit in water. Reduce the frequency of winter watering
- Feeding instructions - Feed me once a month during the growing season of Spring/Summer with a good quality general purpose plant feed.
- Instructions for planting - Repot in the Spring, only if plant becomes rootbound, to a grow pot one to two inches larger than current using a peat free general purpose compost.

Spiderplant
Excellent plant, has been growing wonderfully, nice pot it was in too.

Very poor condition
We ordered a spider plant via click and collect. When the plant was handed to us we were hugely disappointed. The soil was dry and the plant had clearly not been watered for days. Leave were broken, many were dry at the ends.The assistant agreed that it was in poor condition and suggested that we find a better specimen on the way and make a swap. There was only one other specimen and it was in no better condition and there were no staff around to assist us. There were other plants on nearby shelves that had clearly died from neglect. We were in a hurry so had no choice but to take the poor plant and leave. I would strongly advise not to purchase plants via click and collect, rather come to the shop and pick one you are happy with.

A staple
A pretty little staple houseplant. None of the chlorophytums I looked at in B&Q were perfect but this is often the nature of these plants. The good news is they can be tidied up very simply, and rejuvenate quickly. Good value and a simple way to add a touch of greenery to a room.

Great little plants
I read that these are good for the house. I remember everyone had these back in 1970s and 1980s. Always liked them so bought one. If good for the house that makes it even better.
