Poor quality
I seem to buy at least one of these a year from B&Q. Either the element fails or the thermostat does. Here I am at 11:30PM, with a burned out thermostat and no hot water until the morning. Won't be buying any more from B&Q.

Feedback
Similar experience to others. Thermostat fails to control water temperature properly. Reset works OK. Now looking for a better quality product.

Failed
Bought two of these products because did not know length, fitted long one and tripped electric straight away, fitted short one and ok. will take the long one back today. !

Immersion works but safety cut out problem
Would recommend with following proviso: This is the first of the 'new' immersions I have had to buy since the EU regs changed and, as predicted, the thermostat does not stop the safety cut out from cutting out-not ideal on a Saturday night when all going out and immersion is in the attic! Reset button has worked so far. Very disappointed; I understand why the regs have been brought in but, unless the thermostat works, you have to keep adjusting the time that the immersion is on to stop the water overheating. I shall be contacting B&Q for a replacement thermostat but suspect that, as I have found on many forum comments on-line, this is a frequent problem. Answer may be to keep the original thermostat.
