Cool for the planet and your room

While it’s s a good product for helping the planet it’s not so good at heating the room when compared to standard coal briquettes also the product was damp and took a lot of wood to get alight and to keep alight

Excellent coal and long lasting

Used this last winter and using again this winter. It’s excellent for keeping the house warm all day and night. I top up before I go to bed and last till the next day. Keeps the house warm all night. Will continue to use and top up with Kline dried wood for a lovely flame. The coal makes lots of ash though.

Always wet lately

I just cannot imagine why anyone thinks packing soaking wet coal in a plastic bag is a good idea. I don’t think it’s the stores fault but to get out shiny wet coal when you want to light a fire is ridiculous and I blame the packers.

The pros and cons

I bought this product in the February. I found the product got for heating the room up but burns away very quickly. I also found that it burns into a very light ask and when I open and close the door of my fire burner the white ash blows about the room like snow flaked. I definitely would not recommend this product for an open fire especially with people with breathing problems. I still have a bag left but not sure if I would buy this product again due to the additional dusting it generate after use and I question if it’s good for one’s health. I also think it’s over priced and very expensive to use on a regular basis.

Don’t bother..

I’d spend extra on good coal. This stuff is awful - you’ll spend most of your time scooping it out. It’s not as warm as other coal and it turns to ash/sand very quickly covering the heat. We have just binned two bags of it.
