Rainforest paper

We bought this last week and wallpapered today. Having read the review we were concerned that the paper would be tissue-paper like. We didn’t leave the paper more that two minutes and put straight on the wall. Both impressed by the quality of the paper and -following the previous review- we didn’t put any damp cloth near the paper - this avoiding any ink running. The paper matching for us was very economical too! The result is awesome - we love it!

This product is good if handled carefully

I bought this wallpaper last month and just used it. Having finished, the papered wall looks great but hanging the wallpaper was a little tricky. When leaving the pasted wallpaper for ten minutes for the glue to soak, as stated in the instructions on the roll, the paper became very fragile and easily torn if mishandled. Also when scoring with the back of the scissors to mark where to trim at the ceiling and skirting board the wallpaper was easily torn if not very careful. I reduced the standing time for the pasted wallpaper to a couple of minutes but it was still very fragile to hang. My main problem was that it said in the instructions on the roll to smooth the wallpaper using a damp sponge, however the ink on the paper actually starts to run slightly when wetted. These ink runs can be gently wiped away with no detrimental effect to the paper, but my advice is to avoid using a sponge, except to gently wipe away excess paste, and to use a wallpaper hanging brush to smooth the paper instead. That being said, now the wallpaper is up it looks great.
