Customer service that makes the cut!
I bought three sheets for a theatre project, to make x7 1m x 500mm x 160mm rostra. High quality timber and the cutting service is brilliant. I managed to get nearly every piece of the rostra cut to size, joiner-ready, with very little waste. The friendly guys who did the cutting (two trips to the store) worked with speed and precision - I thought I'd have a long wait but I was out in no time. (Happy to share images, by the way, but can't figure out to load them here.)

Best ply at BnQ
The usual go-to quality ply for structural/ carcassing work. More expensive than cardboard panels (MDF), cheaper than hardwood-faced panels.

Excellent Product & Service
I purchased this plywood board last week and the quality was excellent. There was no damage or any imperfections as mentioned in some of the other reviews. When I worked with it it sawed really well. I would definitely recommend the product. I would also strongly recommend the Kidderminster store who provide a cutting service. Martin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he provided some really good advice on the best way to cut the board and did a fantastic job with the cuts too. I was very impressed and will definitely be buying any timber I need from this store in future.

Appalling quality
This product does not meet the product description. It has major surface defects including a rippled surface, knot holes in the upper layer, delamination on some edges and gaps in layers, that when cut leave voids. The face layer is incredibly soft and splits away when attempting the sand the edge with a small chamfer. In my opinion this is Shuttering Ply at best and should be sold as such. Come on B&Q this is just not good enough.

Good product, great service
Got the softwood plywood for a project and it did the job as it should. It was the customer service at the store that was most impressive. I wanted the 8x4 sheet cut to size but unfortunately was at the time when the shift ended…Reese wasn’t gonna turn down a customer though - stayed back beyond his shift and did the cutting so I didn’t have to wait half hour for the next shift operator to arrive - absolutely brilliant service…no wonder this is my favourite B&Q store :-)…many thanks Reese.

Great value
Brought 1 sheet. I used the in store cutting service to make my diy project easier. item was used to make a coffee table super sturdy and took really well to the wood stain I used

Poor quality board
Good service at the Ipswich store and cuts were made brilliantly. However the board has ridges running across it, that are only noticeable after you painted it. The reason is that occasionally a layer of ply is over lapped rather than butted up to the previous one. This is sloppy poor quality manufacturing that should be rejected by BQ buyers. I’ll buy from proper builders merchants next time, cheaper and better in the long run.
