This Muted clay gloss metal paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply with a brush or roller and leave for 4 hours to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers 14m² per litre on average.

Smoothrite paint
Used it on top of some aged hammer finish and it worked well with one decent coat to cover a colour change.

Best straight to rust paint!
Tradesman decorator... Best straight to rust paint! Make sure to scrape/clean all flaking areas. Dust down and spot prime the areas with the Hammerite. Then apply a full coat to all areas. (I would recommend two full coats)

Beware
Beware the colour is nothing like the colour shown on this site, much, much lighter. Can’t understand how it gets into the brown category. I now need to purchase more paint to get a colour which suits my requirements. Nothing wrong with the product just misguided as regards the colour.

Fantastic colour very versatile
Rescued a galvanised steel gate that had finally rusted with this. A perfect colour looking to stonework behind, the gate appears to float. The neighbours were away when I painted the gate and I swear they think I've got a new one.

Old rusty steel Roof supports after wire brushing and two coats of Hammerite look as good as the new roof they are supporting
