Short tree stake - did the job
Needed a basic tree stake and this did the job. Bit expensive for a sime piece of wood though!

Snapped immediately
Tried to put in the ground, and it snapped into three before even being in place. Trying to remove the broken end from the ground took ages. Not fit for purpose.

Suitable stake
I bought two garden stakes about a month ago and they have proved to be ideal for the purpose, as stakes for my standard roses.

Be careful
If there is a knot anywhere in the wood the stake will split when being driven in, as I found to my cost. If you are buying check each one carefully for defects.
