Inconsistent results and limited functionality
This jig allows you to drill holes for 8mm dowels, and 15mm cams. 15mm cams are easy enough to obtain but the 28mm long dowels for 8mm holes are not at all easy to source. This will be enough to make the device useless for most. I bought it simply for drilling holes for regular wooden dowels for panel alignment of 18mm sheets, but again the device is worthless for this as it has no adjustment for material thickness and no two sheets are ever the same. The result is a slight "lip" when you bring the two panels together. Then there is the issue of the spring not being very strong so a soft rubber membrane is fitted to each jaw to prevent the jig from moving. This squidgy material allows the jig to wander while drilling, again preventing consistent results. A nice idea, but poorly executed. How it won a Red Dot award is anyone's guess? Overall, I would avoid this jig and spend a few quid more for one of the branded name jobs which will include more functions and greater accuracy.

Beware, very aware.
These people will sell you this jig set, but they can't supply the cam dowels that it is meant to instal, and unless you have one you won't know what size to procure elsewhere.

Utterly useless now
This jig is for use with cam and dowel fasteners, which are listed in the description as being "sold separately." These are seemingly no longer for sale and are no longer listed in the B&Q app. The whole point of this jig was that it set you up to use the B&Q GoodHome cams and dowels. These were great products (I have the jig and bought some of the cams and dowels and used them to great effect - they had a very innovative design) but there's no point buying this while the cams and dowels are not available.

Only works on 18mm Panels
Whilst the box itself says "use with marlow cams and dowel on 18mm dowels, this isn't mentioned anywhere in the B&Q online description. Thus no use on any other thickness of wood, which is what I wanted it for. Additionally I found it very hard to position the jig with accuracy and stop the jig from moving when drilling hole, thus negating the whole reason to use a jig in the first place.

Well impressed with the build quality
Not used it yet but well impressed with the build quality, unfortunately B&Q have delisted the cam dowel kits needed to go with the jig. Fortunately I was able to buy enough by scouring several branches and getting my hans on enough to make the purchase worth while. Moral is.... Dont buy on unless you can get some cam dowels

Fab for DiY projects
Used for my little ones cot. The whole process of putting the cot together was made easy with this kit as it's small and very handy. The invisible join it gives makes it a neat process too and you can easily make neat holes be it a newbie or professional

Handy
I have a flat pack wardrobe that’s a few years old and after moving around several times the door snapped off at the hinges and I thought it was beyond repair due to all the parts having been pre drilled and put together with dowels. This handy kit allowed me to drill new holes into the door and the dowels are exactly the same as the ones that came with the wardrobe originally. The holes were easy to drill and it all fitted together perfectly, my wardrobe is now fixed and the door is very strong and sturdy giving me a fair few more years of use. Good quality product that’s extremely easy to use and fixes flat pack furniture easily!

I enjoy DIY I'll try anything, having not used a dowelling set before I found it super simple to figure out. My 1st decision was what could I make?! I decided on a doll size cot for my child's dolls. In the set is N Allen key,corner Jig,a Shelf Jig 2 8mm Drill Bits a Stop Collar, a 15mm Drill Bit and Depth Stop Collar not forgetting the super compact storage case. The dwelling set works amazingly super neat joins you'd think we're professional! Now it's deciding on what to make next.
