Perfect for floating shelf
Bought this shelf to cut to size and use it as a floating shelf and worked without any problem as very good quality, cut and drilled through-thickness to insert floating shelf brackets with no issues at all.

Too thin
This shelf is designed to be supported by hidden brackets, but at only 20mm thick, there is insufficient depth to provide enough angle to prevent the shelf tipping forward under weight. Also, the pins it slides onto are not long enough to provide full support.

Absolutely Rubbish again!
Bought this with the brackets which are also an absolute waste of money, please see the reviews. This shelf is untreated so I treated it and painted only to find it has now split in 4 places. The splits run along the shelf and make it totally useless. Again a complete waist of money.

Not pine as sold
Bought 4 of these as pine shelves. This is what it says on the packaging. I asked 2 members of staff of these were pine and untreated wood. They both told me it was

Disappointing
I bought this product a few days ago and I am very disappointed with it. The shelf is hollow inside so even with the bracket fitted securely to the wall and the locating screws in place to hold the shelf in place on the bracket it is still loose on the bracket. This is because the screws are screwed into the wood only and just go into holes in the bracket rods The main body of the shelf seems to be constructed in MDF with a veneer coating, Instructions are very basic and the item does not come with fixing screws.There are a total of 9 small holes for screws in the metal bracket, but whether you need to use all of them or not was not clear on the instructions. I would not recommend this product and will be replacing it with a different type that can be more securely fitted with conventional brackets. I would not trust it to support anything but one or two light ornaments.
