Easy to install, but it isn't dual flush

I just installed this unit to replace a different make in which the cable had snapped. I expect the same will happen with this eventually as they are all the same basic design. Time will tell. Installation was simple enough however, it only seems to operate a full flush. Both full and half flush levels are apparently adjustable. So I set full flush to maximum (slider pushed all the way down) and half flush to minimum (slider all the way up). This should show the greatest difference between the flushes. I then tried a half flush - the cistern emptied completely. After it refilled, I tried a full flush and it emptied again. No difference between a full flush and a half flush - they are both full flushes. I wondered if maybe I had set the wrong sliders so I tried reversing the settings - half flush maximum and full flush minimum. Once again, test flushes showed no difference between a half and full flush - both are full flushes, albeit this time less water was used in both. The only difference between a full flush and a half flush seems to be how deep the plunger can be pressed, but it doesn't make any difference to how much water is used per flush. The basic function of flushing works, but it certainly isn't a dual flush valve by any stretch of the imagination.

Good value

Easy to install after problematic removal of cistern. Button locking system could be better.

No fuss to install.

The fitting was straightforward, I like the options to adjust both flush volumes and in operation a very light pressure on the button produces a really quiet flush.

great product

this is the second of these that i have purchased and would recommend them to anyone. Once fitted if a replacement is needed then you do not have to undo everything in cluding the doughnut ring as it just bayonets into place. Great bit of forward thinking.

Standard FittingBase

This unit has a swivel base that seems to fit other units. This mean you just have replace the top half and do not have to dismantle the tank base, etc. In my case the top half with the seal kept sticking and letting water into the bowl. (Expensive if you have a water meter). So I purchased this unit and replaced the top half. The unit swivels through 90 degrees to lock and the diameter of the seal appears the same as other units, so there must be some standardisation. I used the new push button as well since there is a different fitting on the cable connection.

Easy to fit, works really well.

I bought this about 2 months ago and it works perfectly every time. It was very easy to fit and is much quieter than the old flush we had. Would highly recommend.

Lost all flushing pressure

Simple to install but now my toilet flushes with about one third of the force it did before. Not fit for purpose in my opinion and I will be returning it to the store as soon as I purchase another type to replace it with.

Feeling Flushed

This is the second dual flush cistern valve I have bought. they work fine as long as you lubricate the cable as it does tend to rust and slow the operation. So when you install it put a little water resistant grease in the cable. I do believe it saves money on your water bill if you are on a water meter, I have two WC's in the house and since I installed a dual flush found my monthly bill reduced from £22 to £18 which over a year is nearly £50.00 which covers the cost of installing the valves. which do last at least 5 years saving at least £250.00 a definite saving.
