Good tool but blade life disappointing
Bought to cut laminate for hallway and really impressed with first cross cut of 9". On 4th cross cut noticed that cutting ability had reduced and then attempted a 1.2m length way cut. Really struggled and getting hot plastic smell. new blade at cost of £15 but did job

Absolutely rubbish
The saw struggled to cut a piece of thin laminate flooring anything thicker it overheated and eventually stop working altogether, this is an hour out of the box. Got my money back no problem. Save your money and buy a proper circular saw.

Highly versatile tool - shame about the longevity
I have used this Dremel Saw for several DIY jobs now - including laying wooden floor, cutting ceramic tiles and other odd jobs. The saw is highly versatile, very easy to use with a powerful motor. Its great that the blade can sit flush against the edge of the motor head for clean and accurate cuts. The longevity of the blades is not actually that bad - however bare in mind that the blades effectively 'grind' the material rather than cut. So for jobs involving a lot of cutting - a Mini Circular Cutting Saw might be more economical. Unfortunately the DSM20 has broken and is currently awaiting repair by Bosch. The 'Worm-Gear Housing' effectively exploded under load and leaked copious amounts of oil over my wooden gate (project in progress). Thankfully I kept the receipt from B&Q as the repair would have been £75! Despite this, I am looking forward to having the DSM20 back from Bosch - it is such a useful tool to have around. I just hope this is the last time it returns home.

good tool
I have been impressed with other demel products so I tried this one a a replacement to my angle grinder. this does not have the power of an angle grinder but is more versatile has multi disks is lighter weight, additionally it is unbelievably quick for smaller jobs. i am very glad i bought it.

Disappointed
I bought this 3 months ago. I only use it for cutting floor boards. The replacement wood blades are extortionate at £21 each. And the motor has already packed in. I will be returning for a full re-fund.

Very good purchase
I was sceptical about purchasing this particular saw as i've never heard the 'Dremel' brand before. In the end i decided to buy it, it is reasonably priced for what you get. I had to cut out a small area in a concrete floor to accommodate a junction box for a floor socket. This tool did the job perfectly using the stone blade. It allows for precise cuttings which is great. You also get all the other disks/blades which im sure will come in handy soon. The depth gauge is really good too, maximum depth for cutting is 20mm. Overall great product!

Handy tool
I bought my Dremel for a specific job which I never got around to doing, I regretted buying it at first but I've used it several times with good results. Its now one of my best tools, the all purpose blade looks useless but so far it has cut wood and plastic very well .The motor is quite powerful but can get a bit warm if you push it too hard. It doesn't come with the cutting guide but in my experience they don't work that well anyway.
