Drayton motorised valves now incorporate a ‘Snap-on’ actuator, which simplifies future servicing. The actuator can be removed from the body simply by pressing the release button on the side and lifting the actuator off the body. This allows easy access for replacement of the motor or for convenience the actuator can be replaced as a complete unit.

As a valve good, poor limit switch
I have two of these valves in my heating system, as valves they open and close as the system demands. The valves seem to go on for ever, mine are now 16 years old, HOWEVER, in the actuator unit there is a motor, which can be replaced, but has never broken down, and a tiny limit switch which cannot be replaced. In the 16 years the limit switches have failed 4 times! The only solution is to replace the whole actuator unit at a price of around £50. AND yes, you can buy actuator units, but they cost more than a complete valve and actuator, how made is that. Drayton should upgrade the quality of their limit switches, pence, or make it possible to replace them.
