They don't last very long
Three of these have failed in around a year....poor value

Disappointing - Not like for like
The item has recently changed due to new EU legislation and is now 1.2W which is more than bright enough. These are good value for money but they are much 'sharper' if you glance at them and the 110 degree angle is narrower than old halogens so don't expect a like for like replacement when upgrading from old to LED world as they cast shadows due to the difference in angles but I'm sure I'll get used to them.

Ideal base level change to LED Lighting, Sharper than the traditional Halogen. Cost effective solution 1.4w LED instead of 35/50w halogen. Will be installing these from now on.

Good value for money
These were great replacement bulbs at a cheap price

good as far as they go
good as far as they go, taking into consideration these are energy saving bulbs. My daughter noticed that they were dimmer then the old GU10's (we did not tell her we had replaced them with energy saving ones). Also these ones are not really compatible with a dimmer switch - will have to swap out the dimmer switch.

Perfect replacement for halogens
Look great on my outside lights, far sharper light than the halogens.

These LED are excellent to say that they are only 1.4w about 35w normal. Not really a spot with the 110 degree beam. The light they give off is a cool white. And they came in a pack of 3 and they are very good value for the money. I'm very happy with them

Low energy lighting
I am amazed at the light output from these lamps. At 1.4W, they appear to give as much light as a standard 50W bulb yet you can actually touch them when they are on. So far there have been no failures but only time will tell.

Diall 1.4w gu10 led (B&Q own brand) 12Oct12
Have purchased about 20 of these (in blister packs of 3 for approx £10). Most have been working for 3 weeks with no failures. They are warm white (slightly yellow) and appears equivalent to around 35w halogen. In other words much brighter than you would expect from a direct wattage comparison. This impression may be enhanced because of the wide light spread probably about 120 degrees. Have just purchased an OSRAM 5w led (on offer at B&Q 2 for £15) but because light spread of probably only 30 degrees it is very much a spot so not as good as general room lighting
