This Black gloss wood & metal paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply with a brush and leave for 2-4 hours to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers up to 7.5 m² per litre on average.

Surprisingly very good
I’m a professional painter and took a bit of a gamble on this and pleased I did, worked out very well drying fast in quite chilly and damp conditions. 2 coats applied in a day to some exterior doors and customer very happy.

Terrible
Very disappointed with this product. Supposed to be gloss however dried dull and finish was awful so going back to by some new paint. Just wish I’d stuck to the decent paint brands and not B & Qs own brand.

Quick dry and nice finish
Used on my front composite door (with a Zinsser BIN primer) happy with the result of 2 coats which I was able to apply just hours apart. Fingers crossed it stays looking nice.

Dried very quickly, so I could add a second coat .
Was able to put a second coat on the gate, it dried so quickly, lovely finish, makes the gate look brand new again.

Quick drying and good coverage
A good gloss paint that covers well and dries fast so you can re-coat the same day. I used it on wood (fence), metal (downpipes) and PVC (gutter) and it worked well on all these.

I can't believe it's not porridge
Fully agree with previous reviewers. Job to be re-done using decent product - a waste of time and money.

Awful product
Bought this to do a stair banister. 3 coats required and after 48 hours picked it up and paint all over my hands after not drying like it claims. Awful texture and terrible at being applied. Shocking.

Dont Bother!!
Painted all my garden fence and gates on a sunny Sunday afternoon, by Wednesday it's still wet and running off!! Furious as I am doing the house up to sell on a deadline for viewings and the fence looks awful now!!! Thanks B&Q!!!!

Doesn't do what it says on the tin
Apart from the fact that it took four coats to do what I normally achieve with two, it's a water based paint ***NOT*** solvent based as it states in the description; I didn't realise this until I was half way through painting the front door when I tried to wipe off a badly aimed brush stroke with white spirit and got into a horrible mess. Consequently I haven't got the durability and finish I expected. Not happy; poor quality paint and not what it says it is. Do yourself a favour and pay a few pounds more for something decent.
