The colourcourage quality wall paints are based on the templates of the German designer and artist Lars Contzen. Contzen has travelled around the world in order to track down the perfect colours. He has captured the inspiration behind each colour in photographs and afterwards reproduces them with his own pastes and pigments, mixing them meticulously to achieve a unique hue to the paint. Each template is painted by hand and thus radiates the magic of the original colour. The chalky flat matt finish consists of high-quality binders and pigments that ensure a robust finish with a unique depth and colour intensity.

Poor coverage
I bought this paint to redecorate a neutral cream coloured cloakroom, the initial brush cutting in was okay but the paint produces quite thin coverage when using a roller. Several coats are needed to get a good finish. Poor result for the cost and looks lighter once dry.

Incredible depth of colour - excellent opacity, covers perfectly in one coat - never used such a great paint before!

Zero stars - so dissapointed
I bought this paint hoping for a really premium finish (given the marketing and price point). The colour is nice enough (it is the same dark navy on the tin, but does not look anything like the advertised sample painted on the wall). Unfortunately this has been the worst paint I've ever tried painting with. It goes on almost like an oil-based paint (very thick and does not roller/brush easily like most emulsions) and really "pools" on the surface (you almost have to push it around). It took FOUR coats over a plain white (sanded and sugar soaped) wall to get an "even" blue finish which for such an expensive paint is really poor - Dulux Endurance covered similar walls in 2-3. Once dried the overall paint finish is awful - blotchy and patchy looking and it has almost a "suede" effect meaning the slightest touch (even a brush with the hand) completely marks and damages the wall. I wasn't expecting washable matte, but I would have hoped not to be left with walls so delicate. After four long and difficult coats I don't have the energy to redecorate just now so will have to live with the walls - I'd recommend to avoid if you don't want the risk.
