Poor finish
Bought to raise door due new deep pike carpet. Couldn't shorten the door, already had 10mm gap at threshold. Poor chrome finish, 2.5mm thick, but hinge gaps 4mm. Youll need to sink hinges further than normal. Heads of screws supplied too large and protrude countersink holes.

Made a special journey to b&q for theses hinges as they looked nice. Picture and discription not as actual product. Not chrome, nickel plated. Thicker/ larger than standard so if replacing old ones with these you will have to make the original spaces larger/deeper on both the door and frame to fit them, you could hang a barn door with them.

These are truly awful hinges
The mating surfaces are really rough, so the movement is not smooth and sticks at various places. This creates lots of creaking noise, which is further amplified by the door. I tried smoothing the surface and adding grease, but it's no good and I'm wasting my time and will replace these with something better that will last. Even the screws are total rubbish and don't seem to be standard pozi or phillips, and so with them the heads wear out and are difficult to remove without drilling them out. I would normally throw away bad parts of this low value, but with these I will make a point of returning them to my local branch. Cheap costs more.

Excellent Price
Did the job fine. Not a brilliant shiny finish but what would you expect for the price? I think there should be more emphasis on the fact that these hinges can be left handed or right handed to avoid buying the wrong type. Luckily I made a simple sketch of my existing hinge to ensure I bought the correct hand. Also you may find the holes are slightly out compared to you previous hinge (if applicable) so simply plug the old holes with a wooded "plug" (barbeque skewers are ideal).

Good hinge
Good hinges.good price. However take a bag or box with you when you collect as when I brought 9 pairs b&q to tight to give me bag & had to juggle with them back home.
