Poor quality item.
Bought this along with many other items from B&Q to renovate a bathroom. Looks good out of the box and appears to operate correctly in your hands but when fitting to the bath it just fell to pieces. Had to dismantle it and tighten everything up. Even then it couldn’t be fitted as it wouldn’t hold. The threads are made of weak plastic. Went to a plumbing shop and bought one for 10 pounds which was chrome plated BRASS. Will try and get a refund for this item when I can.

Poor fitting instructions
Extremely good value for money and the look is clean and modern. I would have appreciated installation instructions which would have avoided a flooded bathroom floor when letting out the bath water.

Brilliant piece of equipment
I bought this item a few weeks ago and have now installed it in a larger bath which B&Q couldn't supply and its works brilliant, It actually is a quality part of the bath. I wished I had a photo to show you.

Just buy it
Bought this to replace the one which came with new taps i bought from another retailer (very much like this one http://www.diy.com/departments/brass-bath-waste-plug/35080_BQ.prd that snapped within seconds and looks like a tonka toy compared to this) looks fantastic and has he bonus of no holes in the overflow for my 10 month old to stick his fingers in and no chain to get his leg stuck on. Rock solid build and high quality! Hence why you pick it up from the trade counter. Only word of warning is if your not very DIY savvy, there are no instructions but it is very self explanatory. Admittedly its only been in for 2 hours so will see the test of time but no leaks and its still there unlike the other.

Great looking pop-up waste
Fitted this to our new bath, never had a pop-up waste but will never go back to a plug and chain now, much more comfortable to sit on when you get the tap end! and looks great with no unsightly chains hanging around.
