Overwatered in store
I bought this cactus as I'd been looking for the bunny eared variety for a while and initially was delighted with it. However, 6 weeks in and it's basically a floppy excuse of a plant and after researching the issue I was advised to look at the roots and lo and behold it had been watered to death, completely destroyed the root structure to the point it was mushy in parts and actually growing mold in others. Despite best effects and additional purchases to try and revive the poor thing unfortunately it was beyond capabilities and went to the compost bin in the sky. Ironically it gives watering instructions online yet the staff in store seem to be completely clueless on cactus care. Had this have been more expensive I'd have been more livid but I'll protest with my pound instead and ensure that I don't buy anything else living from the store.

Had to throw it away
To start with, it’s my fault for buying a plant without researching it! I wasn’t aware how much the “spines” dropped and became airborne, so the three days I’ve had the plant have been a constant source of pain as I’m finding the spines embedded in my skin constantly! No surface has been safe so unfortunately I’ve had to chuck it and deep clean my house so I’m not tormented by them again. It was a beautiful plant but I think I may look for an artificial one in its place!
