Good for bathrooms and utility spaces

We have had one of these as a bathroom light for a few years and it has worked perfectly. Very easy installation. My only question is if the LED bulbs are replaceable or if the whole unit needs to be replaced?

Wiring is the issue

It’s a three handed job to put in place All goes well until live and neutral need connection Normally they are held in place with a screw Not in this case . Each wire has 3 potential holes and the diagram is too small and not clear After 5 attempts I just took them back Disappointing

A touch of class

I bought this last weekend. It's very bright. After reading the review, I noticed by turning the light off and on again it became dimmer. Hence, there is a 2-stage light of dimness.

Excellent

This light is of superb quality, it looks great in situ and it comes with a 5 year guarantee. On top of that it’s made in the UK. It is the easiest light to install and I have just bought my third one, I’m that impressed.

Unfit for purpose

So much of a pain that I returned both lights I purchased. The housing for the wiring does not work so when you click on the outer casing one or both wires springs out. After half a dozen unsuccessful attempts by 2 people they went back to the store for a refund....

The Fairing Makes This Bright Light Very Dim

Two points - firstly, this has integrated LEDs so when this website recommends buying those additional bulbs, it is simply misleading. Secondly, and more importantly, this is rated at 1200 Lumens but the fairing covers up the LEDs so effectively that you end up with an output more like half that, so it's no good for an average, small shower room, let alone one which is big enough to contain a bath. Since I don't want the hassle of returning this item, I have just removed the outer fairing with a screwdriver - I didn't need anything else, but it was a bit fiddly. This now brings the light up to an acceptable level for my tiny shower room - plus I will now upgrade the light over the wash basin to something more powerful.

So easy to install and looks great!

We loved how it easy it was to install with 2 people no hassle and how it was slightly different compared to your traditional bathroom lights!

OK but treat very carefully

Easy to fit but needs three hands - one to support light, two more to depress clip while inserting wire. Looks good but very high BQ display didn't reveal that at lesser angles lit LED's shine through gaps around base. Lastly, whatever the reflective circular trim is made from, the least touch with the cleanest of hands or even a soft unused tissue marks it. The instruction symbols say clean with a cloth and NO water or solvent. But a wipe or two won't do it. A lot of very light brushing with an untreated new spectacles cloth was how I eventually improved things. I have encountered nothing like it. Even the moisture put out by a finger held half an inch away fogs it.

strange ip rating for a bathroom light

description says alternative to traditional bathroom light yet ip rating is only 20 and for bathrooms it has to be above ip44 whats up with that,

Non dimmerable

I bought two of these thinking I could use a dimmer switch the b&q advert is wrong they are not dimmerable but they do have a three stage light by quickly turning the switch off and on again you get high med and low settings. Good light a little heavy will need two to fit
