  • Grow Salix in a sunny or partially shaded position, in any well drained soil.
  • To achieve the most colourful foliage, trim back all side branches by a third during July. You can trim Salix plants through the year to keep them tidy, with fresh variegated growth. Simply prune back branch tips by about 15cm (6").
