Good quality product
In principal this is easy to fit, but if you watch the Franke 'how to do it' video bear in mind that the presenter has the worktop and sink upside down ! I have just done a retrofit (as you would have to if replacing the Sink) and lying on my back did add to the intricacy. Also, as another review stated, be aware if there is a back to the Sink Base Unit. In my case I could not get the Bracket Base right up to the cutout for the Sink. However, it HAS improved the rigidity tremendously.

Fantastic piece of kit
This tap brace does exactly what it says on the pack, takes every bit of shake out of the tap, feels like it is set in concrete! A brilliant product. I would advise fitting the sink and tap to the worktop together with the brace before fixing the worktop to the cupboards.

Not compatible with Bristan easy fit range of taps
Bought to help prevent flexing of a tall kitchen tap fitted to a stainless steel sink. Unfortunately the clamp is not compatible with Bristan easy fit taps (the clamp compresses the brass tails of the tap base preventing the tap from being pushed on). Also be aware that if the sink bowl is fitted into a 500mm cabinet, then getting a hand between the bowl and side of the cabinet to tighten the three bolts is very tricky.

Franke specific
This brace is designed to fit a Franke-sized bolt with copper tails. If you have, for example, a Grohe tap with flexi's you will have to open up the bolt hole to take Grohe's fixing & the other parts will not hold the flexi's tightly either. It improves bracing but only after a lot of messing!

Very useful gadget.
These Franke taps are excellent but very heavy and need a brace to support them. This brace is very easy to fit when you're figured out how it goes, I found a dry run on the tap before I fitted it to the sink was helpful. My Frank sink was very large and did not leave a lot of room to fit the tap and brace in a std 1000mm unit with a drawer unit as well. think hard before you position the sink to make sure the tap and brace clear the central drawer fixing bar. I found the 10 mm fixing hole needed drilling out to fit the long tubular nut.

maybe Ok for Franke taps
I bought this to stabilise a Reno tap on a stainless sink. This has the normal 8mm clamping stud so I had to shim it with part of a 10mm Rawplug. Even so I had difficulty getting a tight clamping force on the stud. After getting the thing as tight as I could the tap was more stable but certainly not solid as the top surface of the sink continued to flex.
