Good solid door

Only thing I have to say is the delivery was a complete disgrace I had to chase them up several times quite disappointing for B & Q.

Do not waste your time with this door

This door was carefully fitted all joints sealed, undercoated and given two top coats. The joints started to separate and water caused the wood to swell after 3 weeks. I am now having to replace the door with once from another supplier and all that time fitting and money spent on paint down the drain.

Really poor - do not buy.

I bought this door in the summer and stained it before fitting. It looked good and seemed like good value for money. However within a week the veneer/facings started to lift in a number of areas. Within a couple of weeks the joints particularly at the bottom of the door had started to open meaning the door could not be shut. When I complained at B+Q they said I would have to return the door to get a refund. I'm not sure how they expected me to do that; the door was fitted to my house; was I supposed to leave the house without a door or buy and fit another new front door? I've had to cut out the blown facings and fill the damaged areas and take the door off several times to try and remake the joints and shoot the door back in. This should not happen with a new door. B+Q did eventually offer a partial refund but this in no way compensates for the additional time and costs involved in repairing and rehanging the door or the fact that it appears the door is only likely to last a year or two before it will have to be replaced again. The door looks nice and seems like great value but it is not fit for purpose. Don't waste your money spend a little more and get something better quality from somewhere else.

Don't buy!

Bought in July but didn't get painted and fitted until September, first bit of rain and found water gets round the glass near the middle. Water was seeping through to the inside and also soaking the inner part of the door resulting in swelling. Trying to get B&Q to do something about it is a nightmare too, 3 emails and a 1 call over 3 week and they've still done nothing. Not only need a new door but to pay for it to be fitted again!

dont waste your money

these doors are not fit for purpose ,we had these doors fitted and painted during august ,the middle section of the door under where the glass is has started to to bubble up and part on both sides of the door

worst quality door ever

the carpenter who fitted these doors laughed when he un boxed these doors and saw the state of them they were dented, scratched ,undercoat missing. they would have been returned but the carpenter was there ready to fit them. so check on delivery and before you book someone to fit them

Glazed wooden door

Bought as a replacement for an inner vestibule door. Door is primed but very thin coat, but stops grease etc when fitting lock and hinges. Glass already fitted and decent mitre joints on beading. Bottom panels are thin and in my opinion not very secure for a main front door. Heavy product and does need sanding before undercoat and gloss. Overall happy with the door and looks great now painted.

4Panel Timber Door

Very nice door and the joiner said it was so easy to cut to size, and even thought it was good quality.

Hardwork

Overall a solid square unwarped product but the quality of the panels was very rough and open grained which required extensive filling and sanding to make them smooth for priming

Picture Misleading

I purchased this item a few weeks ago, but the door in the picture is not what you get. The glass is actually opaque with a border. The materials used are of inferior quality and poorly finished, and the wooden bead to retain the glass was not fitted correctly. Overall I am very disappointed with this product and would not recommend it. I have already pointed out to B&Q that the picture is incorrect and was assured that the website would be changed but this obviously has not happened.
