Works!

I have a lot of snails and slugs in my garden and have tried everything to deter them.( I don't like using slug pellets.) I put these granules around my wallflower seedlings a few weeks ago and so far so good - I have seen a slug move away from them!

Slug prevention

Needed something to prevent slug damage and wanted something pet friendly. This product only works if kept dry!! And when it gets wet it looks like a pile of cat sick!!!!! The plants and veg were compleatly wasted. So defeats the purpose of wonderful plants?? Lost a lot of money!!!!!! Needed to get the little blue pellets to save the veg bed . I wont waste my money next year ... I'll go straight to the blue pellets

Bad value for money

It works to create a barrier but when it rains you have to re do barrier which I found used up the box very quickly. After a rain shower the slugs get over barrier very quickly. It doesn't go very far even with a small garden. It is poor value for money. I prefer non toxic pellets. I wouldn't buy again.

BRILLIANT

Wonderful stuff. This has reduced the numbers of horrible slugs and snails in my garden-wish it had been around YEARS AGO.

Sadly this product did not work for us

This product is just clay. The amount needed for each plant is not practical for us as we have many plants to protect. We did put it heaped up as suggested round our new small poppies. After the product got wet it reduced to a slime and then was not effective. Our small poppies had no leaves in days. Now we have purchased a poisonous product but very small granules and that is working well. We have cats so did not want to use the nasty stuff but we can get the granules close to the plants so if the cats scratch close by it is OK.

Clay

I bought this as an alternative to normal slug pellets, they where fine until it rained, now they have turned to a clay like substance on top of the soil, horrible

Not good

Not a very good product. Best stick to slug pellets. Used this slug barrier an slugs ate my plants.

Worse than useless

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it has proved completely useless. It is a granular clay-like material. Once wetted by even a light shower of rain it turns into a sort of slippery clay which slugs and snails seem to love. My courgette plants have been massacred! Slugs and snails are active in wet conditions, so that makes these pointless.

Ineffective

Ok until it rains or you water your plants, at which point the granules turn into a horrible sticky sludge. Didn't stop slugs and snails when it was wet, and if you top it up as instructed on the box, you just end up with a huge ring of the sludge which doesn't break down into the soil. Ended up scraping it all off and taking it to the tip. Waste of time and money unfortunately. I've got copper collars and nematodes now.
