Bred as a culinary swede, ‘Brora’ has been specially selected to have a super-sweet taste and a relatively low dry matter content, which ensures it cooks rapidly. ‘Brora’ boasts attractive reddish-purple shiny skin with a cream base and the creamy-yellow flesh is fine grained, well-flavoured and free from bitterness. Sow seeds thinly, 1cm (0.5 inch) deep in drills 38cm (15 inches) apart in soil that has been raked to a fine tilth.
