Mitre boxes
Mitre boxes are used to cut mitred joints in skirting, architrave and decorative timber. The timber is clamped in place inside the box and then cut with the mitre slots acting as a guide for the saw. Coving boxes deliver a similar result but are intended for cutting plaster and polystyrene coving.
