Product information
Peony Shirley Temple is a charming peony, a timeless classic with enormous, white, fragrant, double summer flowers and mid green leaves. Ideal for use as cut flowers.
- Planting location: Beds and borders
- Flowering period: May-June, Planting period: February - April
- Plant in a sunny spot. Remove the tuber from the bag of compost and soak it in water for 3-4 hours. Dig soil improver and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. Position the tuber in the hole spreading the roots out, so that the top of the crown is level with the soil surface. Replace soil around the crown, firm in and water well. Do not attempt to plant these bulbs if the ground is frozen or during freezing conditions. Remove faded flowers to prolong flowering. Water well during dry spells. Foliage will die down in winter and fresh growth will appear in Spring. The dead foliage should be trimmed away just above ground level in early Spring.
