• The Furniture should be dusted with a soft dry cloth. This needs to be carried out on a regular basis and is always the first step and should be carried out before any other cleaning. Tops can be wiped clean with a very slightly damp soft cloth (water only) then dried with a dry soft cloth. Please ensure that you do not apply too much pressure during these processes. The metal legs should be wiped with a damp cloth then dried to prevent streaks. Do not use any cleaning agents or spray polish as these can contain abrasive substances or solvents, and over a period of time these can penetrate the finish and spoil the surface. The Furniture should be placed at least 1 meter from active heat sources such as radiators and heaters. They should be used in rooms that are dry, closed and protected against the effect of atmospheric conditions including the effect of direct sunlight. Spilt liquids should be blotted rather than wiped off. This should be done immediately after a spillage has occurred using a soft cloth, then wiped clean and dried as stated above. It’s important to carry out this procedure to prevent liquids penetrating the surface as this could cause a separation and/or splitting of the surface material.
